How to choose the corresponding battery capacity according to the power system?

For example: if you have a 24-volt thruster, you need to find the running power in the user manual: e.g. 500w at full power operation, then the consumed power is 500/ 24 ≈ 20Amps, and different Amps for different power. The formula is: power (W) divided by voltage (V) = Amps

You have a 24V thruster that runs at 500w, the power consumption is 500/ 24= 20Amps, and if you want it to run for 5 hours, then you need a 20*5=100Ah Li-ion Battery Pack.

The battery formula can also be used if we use Watts and Watt-hours instead of Amps and Amp-hours. The answer stays the same. The formula is Needed battery (in Wh) = Watt (W) * Desired Sailing Time (in hours)

Your propulsion is usually running at 50% and you want the run time to be at least 5 hours, at 50% the motor is 240W, at this point you need the Needed battery (in Wh) = 240 (Wattage consumed by the motor) x 5 (Desired run time), you will need a 24-volt battery pack of at least 240 x 5 = 1200W!
